Exclusive Interview with Top Role-Play Creator, Saskia Rivers

Imagine turning your creative fantasies into a thriving business.

Sounds intriguing, right? We sat down with a successful content creator, Saskia Rivers, who does just that, selling role-play videos and mould breaking content on popular sites like OnlyFans and ManyVids. This interview offers a rare behind the scenes glimpse into the daily life of a top adult content creator, exploring both the glamour and grit involved. Read on to uncover insights into the industry’s dynamics and learn how she navigates her dual roles of artist and entrepreneur.

LET’S BEGIN WITH THE OBVIOUS, HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN THE ADULT INDUSTRY? WHAT INTERESTED YOU WITH KIND OF WORK AND WHAT WAS IT THAT MADE YOU TAKE THE PLUNGE?

I’ve always been drawn to work that sits outside the conventional path. During my studies in holistic therapies, I met a woman who worked in a sex dungeon, and the experiences she described completely fascinated me. While I knew that in-person work wasn’t right for me from a safety perspective, I was deeply intrigued by that world and felt compelled to explore it—so going online seemed like the perfect entry point.

With a background in acting and performance, it felt like a natural fit—an opportunity to bring those skills to life in a new way, while also connecting with people, tending to their desires, and exploring my own sexual curiosity.

A couple of years later, I dipped my toes in, so to speak, by setting up a foot-focused Instagram to sell pictures—though, admittedly, I had no idea what I was doing. Unsurprisingly, that venture flopped. But then, a friend introduced me to a platform where I could sell content and do live shows, and everything just clicked from there. The rest, as they say, is history.

“Sometimes, what they truly crave is care, connection, and emotional nourishment”

CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE JOURNEY YOU’VE TAKEN FROM THAT MOMENT WHERE THINGS FIRST CLICKED TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW, SELLING HIGH VOLUMES OF CONTENT ACROSS MULTIPLE PLATFORMS LIKE ONLYFANS AND MANYVIDS? HOW HAS YOUR CONTENT AND VIEW OF THE INDUSTRY EVOLVED?

When I first started, I was definitely more reserved than I am now. I often needed encouragement from my customers to try new things or to feel comfortable revealing parts of myself—physically and emotionally—in ways I wasn’t yet used to. Over time, that’s evolved into a much clearer sense of what I’m comfortable with, and what truly aligns with me. I’ve become more grounded in my boundaries and more confident in honouring them.

In the beginning, I was often guided by what I thought people wanted to see—or by direct requests from customers. But now, I find myself creating content that I would want to watch; content that feels good, empowering, and authentic to me. That shift has been really meaningful.

I’ve also expanded what I offer beyond just visual content. I now sell items of clothing, personalised letters, and custom meditations—which I absolutely love creating, especially as they tie in beautifully with my background in holistic therapy. I’ve even done live shows that incorporate working with people’s energy centres.

What I’ve come to realise is that people aren’t always seeking explicit content. Sometimes, what they truly crave is care, connection, and emotional nourishment—and I feel grateful that I can offer that in ways that feel natural and fulfilling to me.

ROLE-PLAY IS THE FOCUS OF YOUR WORK — WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE SCENARIOS TO CREATE, WHERE DO YOUR IDEAS COME FROM AND HOW DO YOU KEEP IT FRESH AND ENGAGING FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR FANS?

I absolutely love stepping into the role of the seductress—the kind of character who might be the ‘unhinged ex’ you wake up next to, blurring the lines between desire and restraint. There’s something delicious about embodying a presence that someone deeply wants but feels they shouldn’t give in to. I think I’m drawn to that tension—the thrill of challenging their resistance, while knowing, deep down, they already want me. Exploring that dynamic, with full consent and intention, is such a playful and exciting experience for me.

On the other end of the spectrum, I also adore creating content as the Maternal Domme—nurturing and attentive, caring for her good boy, good girl, or good non-binary love. There’s something deeply fulfilling about embodying that caretaking energy. I especially enjoy simulating breastfeeding, perhaps because I can vividly imagine the sensation—and at its core, it’s such an intimate and soothing expression of connection.

As for where these ideas come from, nearly all of them—aside from one—have been custom requests, stemming from the original Good Boy and Good Girl content I created a month ago. The only real exception has been the videos aimed at women, which are entirely inspired by the kind of content I wish existed. There’s such a scarcity of erotica from a genuinely female perspective—especially content that includes femme-led domination through that same lens. So I’m creating what I want to see in the world. I’m being the change I crave.

YOUR CONTENT REALLY STANDS OUT FROM THE STANDARD VIDEOS A LOT OF CREATORS POST, BUT IN YOUR OWN VIEW, HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CONTENT, AND WHAT DO THOSE WORDS MEAN TO YOU PERSONALLY?

Thank you. I’d say the content I’ve been creating lately feels much more aligned with who I am. I’m naturally a caring person, and I genuinely want to nurture and look after my customers—so stepping into the role of the Maternal Domme has felt like a perfect fit. I used to think that domination was all about being forceful or harsh, but discovering that it can be rooted in warmth and guidance has been a revelation. It’s given me the language to describe something I’ve always enjoyed, even if I hadn’t fully recognised it before.

“I want to feel empowered by what I make—and I want women to feel empowered when they watch it”

WITH YOUR CONTENT OFTEN FLIPPING THE SCRIPT AND DEFYING THE TIRED STEREOTYPE OF A MALE POWER BASE IN THE CONTENT WE OFTEN SEE ONLINE, YOUR VIDEOS ARE VERY FEMALE-FRIENDLY. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU AND WHAT HAS THE RECEPTION TO THIS BEEN FROM YOUR FANS?

We live in a world where porn is largely created for men, not women. It tends to centre around male desire, often at the expense of genuine connection, and to be honest, it’s both uninspiring and damaging. It objectifies women and rarely reflects real intimacy. I’ve almost never seen a woman in mainstream porn express a need to change position, voice discomfort, or be asked how something actually feels. The most we hear is a generic, “Do you like that?”—a question that often invites performance rather than honesty.

Open-ended questions are powerful; they create space for authentic responses and deeper emotional awareness. If we saw more of that kind of communication in erotic content, I believe it would influence how we relate to each other in the bedroom, too. As it stands, mainstream porn doesn’t feel safe or nourishing.

That’s why the content I’m creating is so important to me. I want to feel empowered by what I make—and I want women to feel empowered when they watch it. I’m drawn to the slow, seductive build because it allows tension and anticipation to develop, which, to me, makes the experience far more satisfying.

What’s surprised me is how warmly this kind of content has been received. I think it’s because I feel truly comfortable and aligned when creating it—and that authenticity resonates. Interestingly, I’m not sure if any women have actually purchased my female-oriented content yet, but I have had sales from men and individuals who enjoy feminisation, and their feedback has been really positive. It’s encouraging to know it’s being appreciated across the spectrum.

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY OF YOUR VIDEOS THAT HAD A BIGGER REACTION ONLINE THAN YOU WERE EXPECTING? WHAT HAS TAKEN YOU BY SURPRISE IN THE RECEPTION TO YOUR CONTENT?

When I created a ‘Good Girl’ TikTok video, hoping to attract more women to my page, I ended up receiving a lot of engagement from men. One of them requested a ‘Good Boy’ video, and when I saw how well it was received—it’s gotten 125.7k views in just a month, which is huge for me—I decided to create some sellable content for my OnlyFans and manyVids. And that’s when the Maternal Domme persona came to life!

It really feels like I’ve finally found my stride, and I’m only just getting started.

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU PUT A LOT OF WORK INTO MAKING YOUR CONTENT AS GENUINE AS POSSIBLE! WHAT’S YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS LIKE — FROM IDEA, TO FILMING, TO POSTING? ANY RITUALS OR BEHIND-THE-SCENES CHAOS YOU LOVE?

I always make sure to gather as many details as possible from my clients so I can fully immerse myself in the role and capture the right mood for the scene. It’s important for me to feel genuinely excited about what I’m creating, as that enthusiasm translates into the content and keeps me engaged.

Eye contact with the camera is something I pay close attention to—there’s nothing that frustrates me more than when someone is distracted by their own reflection on the screen. For me, intimacy is key, and it starts with that connection. Maintaining eye contact is how I feel I can truly engage with the audience and create a more personal experience.

As for my process, I don’t typically write anything down beforehand; I prefer to go with the flow while filming. I’ll watch the clips back before moving on to the next angle, keeping it spontaneous and natural. There’s nothing particularly structured or noteworthy in my approach—it’s all about feeling the moment and letting the content evolve organically.

“I’m here to create content, and that’s my focus”

WHAT’S SOMETHING PEOPLE OFTEN MISUNDERSTAND ABOUT THE KIND OF CONTENT YOU CREATE — ESPECIALLY WHEN IT’S FOCUSED ON ROLE-PLAY AND KINK?

I’ve had people flirt with me or call me ‘Mommy’ without us ever agreeing to that, and I want to be clear that I do not tolerate blurred boundaries. I expect to be spoken to with respect, as a human being, and only in the context of a live session we’ve both agreed upon can that kind of language be used.

It’s important for me to establish that I’m not interested in anything sexual outside of this work—I’m here to create content, and that’s my focus. Some people have assumed that I’m a dominatrix in my personal life, but that’s not the case. I’m performing a role for work, and that’s all it is.

I’ve even had people ask me to be a keyholder, but that’s simply not something I’m interested in. For me, this is about the content, the role I’m playing, and maintaining professional boundaries.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE JUST STARTING IN THE INDUSTRY — ESPECIALLY SOMEONE NERVOUS ABOUT NOT BEING SUCCESSFUL OR MAINTAINING BOUNDARIES?

Never do anything you’re not comfortable with. Always ensure payment is made upfront, and don’t engage with those who try to negotiate your prices or waste your time. Know your worth and stand by it.

HOW HAVE YOU GROWN YOUR FANBASE, AND WHAT’S WORKED BEST FOR YOU WHEN IT COMES TO VISIBILITY OR PROMOTION?

Consistency is key for me. I tend to go through periods of hyperfocus, where I get deeply immersed in work and editing, churning out a lot of videos. This is only possible when I’m working on something I truly enjoy. However, during these spurts, other areas of my life tend to fall behind.

When I’m advertising on TikTok, I tend to gain more subscribers on OnlyFans. But TikTok isn’t exactly adult-friendly, which makes things a bit awkward. When I was more consistently active on AdultWork, I’d see a similar increase in followers on OnlyFans.

I’ve found that keeping a consistent, recognisable name across all my platforms has really helped—it makes it easier for people to find me, which has been a huge advantage.

FINALLY — WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU? HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR CONTENT EVOLVING IN THE FUTURE?

The way I’ve viewed my work over the past month has completely shifted things for me. Stepping into content that truly aligns with who I am has made the entire process so much more fulfilling and enjoyable. I’m now focusing on creating more feminist, female-friendly content, while also exploring audio-based work as I have now got a new microphone!

I’ve become particularly drawn to content similar to ASMR, where I can gently speak to the camera, taking on roles like a caring doctor or someone in a nurturing position. Additionally, I’m excited about incorporating elements of holistic therapies into my content. The possibilities feel endless, and I’m eager to see where this journey takes me.
